Lakers and Salmon are hitting in the Quabbin. Getting Lakers in 70-90 ft with copper/silver Dave Davis and shiners. Salmon in 30-40ft. The only drawback is that your boat has to be washed and trailer tagged to fish the reservoir. Rental boats are available but you won't have any downriggers to work with.

Hey, gang. I'm a novice fly fisherman and I don't know New England that well. Can anyone point me to a decent river where I can work on my flycasting technique and/or maybe stand a good chance of getting into some trout?

I'm trying to find some access points to any of the White Mountain trout streams including: Saco River, Swift River, Pemigewasset River, Baker River, Ammonoosuc River, Androscogging River, Ellis River, Dry River, Lost River and any others that anyone knows has trout in them. Thanx for any detailed info any of you can help me out with.

Thanx,

Carpmaster

drifting live worms is good when its raining or right after but if its sunny try a small spiner bringin it up stream(yellow with red is my fav). But i find if you go to a pet store and get some live crickets on a sunny summer day you cant keep them off the hook.
